Prethemer will update the site as quickly as he can after WebOS 1.4.X comes out.

In the past, Palm has added new images and made other images obsolete. So, if there are new images that you want to change, you'll have to make those changes to your themes.

For example, in WebOS 1.3.1, Palm made the original lock button images (3 of them) obsolete and added one new image to replace them. The lock screen clock was made into an image that we can theme; those were brand new images.

It's partially why I've slowed down on the soccer theme I've been working on periodically. I'd hate to release it just to have to update it a couple of days later.

Default 1.4 is Now Available

Since 1.4 is now available, if I have an existing theme, do I just run "Create New Preview" and the new "ipk" file will be compatible with 1.4

Nope, there are a lot of new images, a lot of obsolete image and a few that changed.

PreThemer posted all the changes here. The site has already been updated for the changes.
